Fair. It is the first thing most parents say, and it deserves a straight answer instead of a shrug.

Why X at all?

Because that is where college coaches actually are. Recruiting moved onto X years ago, and it is where coaches post camp dates, where they find film, and where they follow the players they are tracking. You do not have to like it. It is simply where the room is.

What does my athlete actually post?

Their own film, their own updates, and genuine engagement with the programs they are targeting. The Strategy Academy teaches exactly what to post and what not to, because a bad account is worse than no account. Your athlete writes and publishes every one of those posts themselves, from their own phone.

What connecting to Visible Athlete actually grants

  • Read their public posts, profile, and who they follow and who follows them. That is how coach follow-backs land on the Board automatically.
  • Stay connected so the Board keeps updating without them logging in again every week.
  • We cannot post. Not a tweet, not a reply, not a like. The permission to write does not exist on our end.
  • We cannot send or read direct messages. No DM access of any kind, in either direction.
  • We never see a password. Connecting happens on X's own site. Your athlete's password is never typed into our platform and never reaches us.

Can I see what is going on, and can we undo it?

The Visible Athlete account belongs to your athlete, and there is nothing in it that is hidden from a parent, so signing in with their login shows you every screen they see. And the X connection can be revoked at any moment from X's own connected-apps settings, without asking us and without cancelling anything.

If you want to read the account over your athlete's shoulder every week, we think that is a good idea. This works best as a family project, which is how it started.

The rest of this page is written to your athlete, because they do the work. This block is the straight version for the person holding the card.

What you are buying

A system and the tools to run it. A database of 4,700+ college coaches across 800+ programs, a course that teaches the whole recruiting process step by step, a personalized Game Plan, and a board that tracks every coach relationship in one place.

What you are not buying is outreach. We do not email or call coaches on your athlete's behalf, and we never will. That is the part that has to be theirs.

What it costs

$50 a month for the first 50 founding members, then $79. Add a sibling after you join for $25 a month each.

For comparison, by NCSA's own published figures families spend $400 to $4,000 on recruiting video alone, $250 to $2,000 on guidance and coaching, and $3,000 to $5,000 a year on club fees, travel and training.

How much time it takes

Your athlete gets a weekly task list that tells them exactly what to do next. Nothing on it is complicated.

We are not going to pretend there is a magic number of minutes. You get out of this what you put into it. The athletes this works for are the ones who show up on the ordinary weeks.

Whose account it is

You complete checkout. Your athlete then gets the activation email and sets their own password, so the account and the login belong to them.

Nothing in it is hidden from a parent. There are no parent-restricted screens, so signing in with your athlete's login shows you everything: their tasks, their board, which coaches followed back. A separate parent login is on the roadmap.

How to cancel

One click in the Stripe billing portal, which is tied to your email, not your athlete's.

No contract, no phone call, no cancellation fee. Your founding rate holds for as long as the membership stays active. If you cancel and come back more than 90 days later, you rejoin at the standard rate.

Who it is for

High school football players, grades 9 through 12, including incoming freshmen the summer after eighth grade.

A parent or guardian completes checkout. Your athlete gets their own login link right after, and the account is theirs to run.

No one can promise your athlete offers, and you should be suspicious of anyone who does. What we promise is the system, the tools, and the plan to make your athlete visible to the coaches who are already looking.
